ORIS is a brand of Swiss wristwatches.
The ORIS watch company was founded by Paul Cattin & Georges Christian at Hölstein, located in the canton of Basel-Country in 1904.
In 1968 ORIS obtained full chronometer certification from the Observatory of Neuchâtel. This award for movement cal.652 is among the highest forms of recognition that exist for accuracy & superior quality.
In 2003 ORIS signed an agreement to become the exclusive watch partner of the BMW Williams Formula 1 Team. The ORIS Limited Edition Williams F1 Team Chronograph was the most successful ORIS watch in 2003.
Keanu Reeves famously sported an ORIS watch in the 2005 film Constantine. An ORIS diver's watch is also seen being worn by Pierce Brosnan in the 2004 film After the Sunset.
