The RADO Captain Cook is named after the great British explorer, navigator, cartographer & Captain in the Royal Navy, Captain James Cook.
Cook was the 1st to map Newfoundland prior to making 3 voyages to the Pacific Ocean during which he achieved the 1st European contact with the eastern coastline of Australia & the Hawaiian Islands as well as the 1st recorded circumnavigation of New Zealand.
This all original RADO Captain Cook is a rare variant. Aside from its unique features: concave glass crystal, rotating tachymeter, male/female crowns; it has a day-date display! Lastly, notice that its hour markers are C-shaped, where the common Captain Cook has bar markers.
EXTERNAL CONDITION: This watch is in *NEAR MINT condition (93-97%): Showing very light signs of wear. Very faint scratches on the case, bezel, bracelet or buckle are visible to the naked eye.
INTERNAL CONDITION: This watch is in *NEAR MINT condition (93-97%): working perfectly, keeping good time & needs nothing.
